Dental Implant Restoration faq

Manteca CA Implants

Your initial understanding of dental implants may pique your interest. However, if you have more questions about these prosthetics, we are happy to answer them for you. Look over the following list of questions, and feel free to contact us if you have additional concerns or inquiries.

Who Places My Implants?

Dr. Damle will refer an experienced oral surgeon to place your dental implants. Then Dr. Damle will place the implant restorations. The oral surgeon will surgically implant the titanium posts. After the healing process is complete, Dr. Damle will then discuss your options with you. You may desire crowns for an improved, natural appearance. Or, you may have dental implants for use as abutment teeth to anchor a bridge, which will then require the placement of the additional prosthetics. Dr. Damle and our team will present you with a treatment program tailored to your specific needs.

Do You Numb My Mouth or Offer Sedation?

At Aura Family Dental, we numb the implant area with a local anesthetic. This greatly reduces your discomfort. In addition, if you feel anxious regarding this or other dental services, Dr. Damle offers a variety of sedation options for a calm experience. You will remain conscious during your procedure, but our team will determine your level of anxiety and offer a sedative that will provide you with the relaxation you desire.

How Long Do Dental Implants Last?

Your dental implants may last throughout the rest of your life. Much like your natural teeth, dental implants require regular care if you want them to last. Dr. Damle and our team will explain the proper oral hygiene for your implants. Take care of them regularly according to our instructions, and visit us regularly for checkups and cleanings.

How Much Do Implants Cost?

The price of dental implants varies from case to case. Because each patient requires a different amount of implants and different insurance coverage, and other factors specific to each individual, there is not one associated cost. Contact us if you are interested in dental implants, so we can discuss specific costs and payment options, including our financing plans.

How Do Dental Implants Differ from Dentures?

Dental implants permanently replace missing teeth individually. You can replace one, two, several, or all of your teeth with dental implants. They remain in place and require no additional support. Dentures, however, are removable. They replace a full set of upper or lower teeth, and rely on natural suction and adhesives, unlike implants.
